About Mike Landrum

Mike Landrum coaches top executives and professionals to achieve persuasive, high-impact presentations and solid rapport with their audiences. Mike is also a media coach, helping his clients prepare for interviews and appearances on radio and television.

Mike brings a unique mixture of experience, imagination and expertise to this work. He is a speaker, writer and one of the premier "business actors" in America. For over forty years he has been presenting to and for companies, products and corporations in live meetings, on network television commercials, and in corporate communications.

Landrum is proud to be the official speakers coach for Wounded Warrior Project's Warriors Speak program. As a Vietnam vet, WWP is an organization near to his heart, helping the thousands of wounded veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

His extensive theatre experience as an actor, writer, director and producer on and off Broadway, allows him to create unusually compelling presentations. As a writer, Landrum's work has been published in Presentations Magazine Online, The Toastmaster Magazine, Stories, Vital Speeches of the Day, The Executive Speaker and elsewhere. His online newsletter, now a blog - The Passionate Speaker, has garnered praise from the industry and his essays have been reprinted extensively.

Mike earned a Cicero Award for Speechwriting in 2007.

As a speaker he gives keynotes on Creativity, Leadership, Communication Skills, and Expanding the Spirit. He is an Advanced Toastmaster, a champion of many competitions, a member of the National Speakers Association and the International Federation of Coaches, as well as the Screen Actors Guild, the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists, and Actors Equity Association.

Mike attended Southeast Missouri State University, Wayne State University and The National Theatre School of Canada - the only US citizen in his class. He has performed on the Broadway stage twice and starred in two NBC soap operas in his acting career.

He's especially proud of his lovely daughter Elizabeth who is a sophomore at SUNY Geneseo. Mike is the founder and president of Creative Speech Coaching, headquartered in the Hudson Valley.
